交点と境界ーその快楽 Points and Borders - the pleasuer

交点は位置の決定で境界は差異の認識であるとすると、決定や認識する瞬間には快楽が発生すると言える。
If a point is the determination of position and a border is the recognition of difference, then it can be said that pleasure arises at the moment of determination or recognition

展覧会前に設けられた”哲学との対話”の会で「美術における快楽の正体は何か」をテーマにした。
・展覧会や寺院などで一瞬にして心を捕まれる、あの快楽の正体は何なのか？
・作品制作において、自己表現の快楽以前に作業自体に感じる快楽の正体は何なのか？
哲学者の金澤先生と他のアーティストと意見の交換をし、その答えは「身体的快楽と知的快楽の狭間の快楽」、「生存のために常にアンテナを張り続ける生命体としての行為の結果、情報を捕らえたことに対する快楽」と帰着した。
それを踏まえ、「交点と境界」シリーズの制作を振り返り、交点を筆の穂先で決め、すっと筆を進め境界を作り、セル内を塗りつぶす作業の快楽は“決定”の快楽であると思うに至った。
